West Kazakhstan region has a unique mineral resource base. Deposits of gas and gas condensate, oil, borate ores, oil shale, potassium-magnesium salts, cement raw materials of expanded clay, construction and alluvial sand were found in the region. The available reserves allow their industrial development and use for a long period. Most of the fields on which the work is carried out are concentrated in Zelenovsky, Burlinsky, Akzhaiksky and Taskalinsky districts of the region.
he volume of industrial production in January-September 2019 amounted to 1784.6 billion tenge in current prices. The volume index to the level of January-September 2018 amounted to 93.8%. In the mining industry and quarrying in January-September 2019, products worth 1594.3 billion tenge were produced, the volume index amounted to 92.5% compared to January-September 2018. Gas condensate production was reduced by 8.1%. In the manufacturing industry in January-September 2019, products were produced at 147.6 billion tenge, which is 11% higher than in January-September 2018. The food industry accounts for 33.9% of the manufacturing industry. In January-September 2019, food was produced - by 47201.4 million tenge, drinks-by 2815.6 million tenge. Increased production of meat, sausages, milk, cheese and cottage cheese, pasta.
In the chemical industry, the volume of production amounted to 1966.4 million tenge, which is 10.3% more than in January-September 2018. Other non-metallic mineral products were produced at 9593.4 million tenge. The volume index to the level of January-September 2018 amounted to 81.8%. The volume of production in the metallurgical industry in January-September 2019 amounted to 20840.9 million tenge.
The volume index to the level of January-September 2018 amounted to 142.3%. Increased production of ribbed steel sheets and pipes of different diameters. At the enterprises of power supply, gas supply, steam and air conditioning, the volume of production amounted to 36.7 billion tenge. The volume index to the level of January-September 2018 amounted to 97.1%.
At the enterprises of water supply; Sewerage system, control over the collection and distribution of waste, the volume of production amounted to 5.9 billion tenge. The volume index to the level of January-September 2018 amounted to 102.1%.

Gross output of products (services) of agriculture, forestry and fisheries in January-September 2019 in the whole region amounted to 117835.9 million tenge, which is higher than the corresponding period of the previous year by 2.3%. The increase in agricultural, forestry and fisheries production in January-September 2019 is due to an increase in the slaughter of livestock and poultry in live weight by 3.7%, the yield of raw cow's milk-by 0.6%, chicken eggs-by 3.7%.
